TJ THE DJ - BIO

With more than 25 years behind the turntables, TJ the DJ has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic and sought-after DJs in the New York and New Jersey entertainment scene. Known for his ability to read a crowd and create an electric atmosphere, TJ has rocked everything from packed nightclubs and private events to arenas filled with 20,000+ screaming fans.

TJ’s career spans over two decades as a Music Director and DJ in professional sports, working with some of the biggest organizations in the industry. His journey began in 2005 when he became the Music Director and Game Presentation Coordinator for the New Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena (later the IZOD Center). In addition to producing the game-day experience, TJ also served as the official DJ for Nets events, quickly becoming a key part of the team’s high-energy atmosphere.

During the Nets’ final seasons in New Jersey at Prudential Center (2010–2012), TJ was also tapped to become Music Director for the New Jersey Devils, helping drive the arena experience during the team’s exciting 2012 Stanley Cup Finals run. At the same time, TJ expanded his reach into major collegiate sports, serving as Music Director for Seton Hall Men’s Basketball (2006–2015) and Music Director for Rutgers Football (2011–2013).

When the Nets moved to Brooklyn in 2012, TJ joined the organization full-time as Senior Manager of Game Presentation and continued as the official DJ and Music Director for the Brooklyn Nets from 2012–2015. His work extended beyond NBA games, as he also provided music and production for NCAA basketball tournaments, A-10 championships, and major boxing events at Barclays Center.

TJ’s talent has been recognized on a global stage. In 2014 he was selected by the NBA as the Official DJ for NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the All-Star Game in New Orleans, and in 2015 he returned as the official DJ for NBA All-Star Saturday Night in Brooklyn. His work has also been featured on local television talk shows and in major publications including Rolling Stone and ESPN Magazine.

During his time with the Nets, TJ traveled internationally to London, Paris, and China, serving as Music Director and DJ for NBA international games while also performing at some of the hottest clubs in each city.

In 2018, TJ returned to the New Jersey Devils, initially filling in as their in-game DJ and Music Director. After only a few games, the organization quickly recognized his ability to energize the arena and brought him back as the Official DJ and Music Director for all Devils home games and events at Prudential Center, a role he continues today. During the 2021 season he also served as the DJ for Binghamton Devils games played at Prudential Center.

Since 2024, TJ has also become the Official DJ for the New York Sirens of the PWHL, performing at all home games and events at Prudential Center.

Outside of professional sports, TJ has been the resident DJ at McSwiggans in Hoboken for more than 20 years, helping make it one of the most talked-about nightlife destinations in the area. His nights regularly pack the dance floor and have attracted celebrities, athletes, and nightlife personalities from across the region.

Today, TJ continues to perform at top bars, clubs, corporate events, private parties, and special appearances throughout the NYC and NJ area, bringing the same high-energy performance and professional production that has made him a trusted name in major sports entertainment.

Whether he’s performing for 20,000 fans in an arena or a packed dance floor at a private event, TJ the DJ delivers an unforgettable experience that keeps crowds energized and events buzzing long after the music stops.
